This all started with a bird, a robin. Many other things contributed and came together, but it was holding that robin in my hands, and letting it go, that inspired the spontaneous resumption, resurrection, of my list-making. It formerly saw life as the Thankful Page on this blog.
I thank God for using Ann Voskamp’s One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are to give me a deeper understanding of the importance of gratitude, what I’d left behind when I stopped listing, and what I’d missed through my first attempt – truly focusing on the Giver, not on His gifts.
The purple entries are those things for which it is easy to be thankful. The red are those that are difficult.
The regular black text is my journaling of this journey. Quotes are in blue.
Update June 2013: Click on the links in the sidebar to be encouraged by last year’s posts, or the Thankful Thursday tab above to see where I am in my journey.
