in The Growth of Wisdom Tags: Micah, new year, Scripture
Another year is winding down. Each seems to fly faster than the last. Again, I regret wasted time. I have not yet learned to use each moment as fully as I should, but am glad that I am learning. Repeatedly seeing my 2009 verse was always a good reminder.
“Teach us to make the most of our time, so that we may grow in wisdom” (Psalm 90:12, NLT).
Now that a new year is about to begin, a new verse has been laid on my heart. It jumped out as I was reading Micah in the NLT. As I looked at 6:8 in different translations and considered the shades of meaning, it was the NASB version that I chose to commit to memory:
“He has told you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justice, to love kindness,
And to walk humbly with your God?“
